Designing Online Readiness & Interconnected Schools

The Covid-19 pandemic forced changes across almost all industries, making remote working an everyday reality for a large portion of businesses and organisations around the world. This has opened the door to a whole new way of working, with a whole new set of tools that come with that, and education has been no exception. PDR along with international partners seek to utilise the user centred design process to establish new best practice and to examine the new challenges schools face.

The changes made to facilitate learning have had to be implemented quickly, and in response to uncertain timelines. In recognition of this, Designing Online Readiness & Interconnected Schools (DORIS), led by Cardiff Council and funded by Erasmus +, was commissioned to collect and review data on international procedures, practice, and overall user experience across four countries.

DORIS links schools in Wales, Poland, Spain and Sweden, and involves the direct interviewing and the information collection, directly looking to establish challenges, requirements and successes.
