Building Design Capability in Government – Professor Anna Whicher

There are more than 300 Government Labs around the world using a range of innovation methods to jointly create public services and policies with citizens. Increasingly design is part of this innovation toolkit. Anna has worked with governments around the world to generate an evidence base for integrating design into policy processes and to build capability for design within such Labs. There are around 10 Labs in UK government and more than 5,000 designers working in Whitehall. This professionalisation of design in government has exciting implications for design education in the UK and the pipeline of designers going into the public sector.

It gives us great pleasure to invite you to attend Professor Anna Whicher's Inaugural and Professorial Lecture.
